Lightning can be frightening, consisting of one or more gigantic, insanely loud electrostatic discharges. As scientists and those who walk around in socks on carpet know, static electricity discharges can have a mind of their own along with painful if not deadly consequences. (trust me, back in the mid 1980’s I was hit indirectly while on the phone during a sudden thunderstorm in Altanta, GA…it’s not fun.)
One thing that can control static discharge is a grounded conductor, like a Faraday Cage. MODS outer shell and structural steel support framing, like your car, helps protect the interior from potentially deadly lightning strikes by instantly leading lightning away to ground. Watch this lightning video for a new level of respect for one of Mother Nature’s wonders.
